Executive overview: The tool really improves our data, but it was painful to get set up. The author was always responsive, but not always speedy. =========================================== Details: The tool consists of a bunch of interacting bash and matlab scripts...it must have been developed on linux because some things were not immediately compatible with mac. In particular, gawk (gnu awk, I presume) was called several times and that tool is not available on mac by default. Once I downloaded gawk with macports, that problem was addressed. The tool is also touchy about the matlab version it works with (2014 a and b are okay...but 2015 and above bombed). Finally, it produces a lot of disturbing warnings...which the author/developer assured us were okay. The author was always responsive, but not always speedy. Nevertheless, once we got through those problems with the author's help...(thankyou), we were impressed by the 12 fold reduction to spiking (as measured by afni) in our data. We now use slomoco as a regular part of our processing. There is now a newer version...I have not tried it yet, but it should work with matlab2015 and handle multiband data.
