SOCR tools are used directly over the Internet using a Java-enabled browser. Nothing to install to run these in simulation mode or on tabular data. To use with images and other binary data, one needs to download the Java library (4 JAR files) and use the SOCR Docs to delegate the stat-calculations to the external SOCR objects.
