Great documentation online. dcm2nii is the best tool I've found for diffusion imaging DICOM conversion. I like this instead of FSLView for doing simple overlays of stat maps. I especially like that you can give it a list of slice numbers and it will automatically generate an image with the specified slices and an extra orthogonal one with lines marking which slices.

The mac version of this program is not quite as good as the pc version, as it is not possible to get the names of brain areas as is possible on the pc version.

very good with small odities. I've only used it for linux, and a couple of features such as yolking multiple instances is missing, which is a shame.

great for figures, and best nifti-compatible tool I've found so far.
