Change in amount of NITRC email Posted By: David Kennedy - Mar 7, 2011Tool/Resource: NITRC Community Dear NITRC User: Many of you have noticed a change in NITRC's email behavior. In NITRC version V2.0.5-0 release (February 14, 2011), we announced this change: "New NITRC users monitor the NITRC forum by default, and we have taken the liberty of subscribing current users." We also note that this forum monitoring can be turned off on your Account Maintenance page at http://www.nitrc.org/my/, in the open-discussion forum at http://www.nitrc.org/forum/forum.php?for... or by sending e-mail to moderator@nitrc.org. We apologize for any unwanted emails this change has caused the community; the objective was to promote community involvement in the recently enhanced, general, community-wide discussion forum that was obscurely hidden to NITRC users who registered prior to this release. We are working on ways to reduce content-less posts, and better detect spam posts. Your patience is appreciated while we work through the issues of providing the community with a comprehensive resource for providing communication between investigators and developers in order to better serve the community. |
